The published paper (Phys. Rev. Lett. 131, 191001) presents the precise measurement of the electron+positron spectrum with CALET up to 7.5 TeV, an energy range which has never been directly observed in space. The results indicate a spectral cut-off at around 1 TeV, which is expected from the radiative energy loss during propagation in the Galaxy.
Furthermore, based on an interpretation model and the event numbers above 7.5 TeV, a hint for the existence of nearby cosmic-ray sources is found.
